Bunnies and Carrots

Julie Marie has a great kit out called Easter Bunnies and Carrots! I love the colors that she used...no pastels, which seems to be rampant. These photos are of my sweetie posing with her very first Easter bunny. Her Granddad and Mimi gave it to her when she was 8 months old - and she still loves it!

Side 2 of Month 1 and a new one....

Here is what I came up with to face my layout from the weekend (See Month One down below). I was totally inspired by daisydil (Pam, a fellow CT member for Julie Marie). You can see her original work of art here. I love how she mixed in the Tranquility papers - I would have copied that, too, except I had to match the other side! All of my stuff is from Julie Marie, Cottage Rose (except the swirl, I have no idea where that is from). This next one is a photo I took of my daughter today - She was looking especially cute to me (some days, I swear, she wakes up cuter than the day before). So, we ran outside to take some photos - I love this big cheesey grin for some reason! These layouts are made using Julie Marie's Just Peachy. The date strips on the second one are from Valarie Ostrom. I have also made this into a QP for my friend's book. My journalling says, "You light up my life in so many ways. The little things you say and do. And more and more every day, I am grateful."

My First Quick Page!

A good friend of mine is pregnant with her 2nd child, so 2 fellow digi-scrappers and I are giving her a digital album for one of her gifts. I did my first QP last night for her! Thanks to Kristy (Scrapglass) for her instructions on how to cut that hole in my page - I think I gave her a good laugh at my expense last night!I used a new kit by Julie Marie (of course! Lately, that is all I have scrapped!) called Cottage Rose. I really like the spring colors in this kit. I will make a 2nd side for her album using the same kit - so check back to see it!

My Love

I really, really dig this kit (Girl's Night Out by Julie Marie and Danielle Corbitt - see the below post!). I decided to do another one. This time I mixed it with Julie Marie's new kit Bunnies and Carrots....no, I didn't use the cute bunnies or carrots that she designed (I am working on something using those!), but rather the great pop of blue!My journalling reads: Grace, every time I see your smile, hear your laughter and feel your arms around me, my love for you grows by leaps and bounds.

I created this in response to a Speed Scrap hosted by one of my closest friends and fellow digi-scrapper (pretty amazing one, at that) Jenn. She introduced me to a cool new site, Scrappity-Doo-Dah!
