Family Photos and a new CT!

Last week, we took family photos with J. Bell (if you live in the Austin area, you should really check him out!). I can't wait to get my hands on the photos, but thought that I should get the last batch of family pictures ready for my album before they get here! These were taken by a friend of ours on New Years day.

I am now on Jessica Edwards' CT! I love her designs and I couldn't wait to start playing with them. One of her more recent releases is called Family Tree. This is actually a collab with Bella Gypsy.
This is what I did with it - I am also working on making a family tree layout for my girlies...but I have to scan some photos in first!

A fun, quiet day!

Today has been great. First, my husband took care of the girls and let me sleep in!!! Then, my daughter gave me a makeover...she was really impressed with her work, but Jeff was a little scared when he saw me. Notice my extremely red nose. She gave me a "burn from the sun." I'm not sure how she did her makeup so much cuter than she did mine, but I think she is adorable...esp when compared to me!Poor little Hattie is still having hive break outs. I'm not sure what is causing it. I haven't had wheat, gluten, dairy, soy, seafood (including shell fish) or eggs. I have been eating a lot of veggies, beans and meats! And, I have lost a couple of pounds! :) Here is a picture of Hattie with her hives. The camera doesn't pick them all up, so it was really a lot worse than this:Of course, you will be seeing these photos again in a layout soon, but I wanted to share them now!

I even got some scrapping done today! I have been working on companion pages for layouts that I have made for challenges or CTs and ran out of time. So, I made this one with a kit called Ainsley by Scrapper Girl Designs to sit beside a layout of mine called Sweet Girl: When I saw the post with the original LO in it, I realized that I never showed off the LO I made with my kit I earned for doing the Speed Scrap. Made by Hutchie and my good friend, Jenn Murphy, I love this kit called Fall to Pieces from Scrappity Doo Dah:A while back, I made this layout called Finding Beauty with Love Me Forever by Sweet Blossom Designs. It was for another SDD speed scrap hosted by Jenn Murphy. I love her SS - she really gets me out of my comfort zone. Here is the companion page I made today:

Another one that I made for a SS at SDD hosted by Jenn:This one was a little harder to make a companion kit for. A few weeks ago, my desktop crashed and I lost all but 6 of my kits. This is one of the kits I lost. So, I decided to just "copy" my layout! It was made using a kit called Funny Girl. Unfortunately, I don't know who designed it, since it was a casualty of a vile, mean person sending me a virus.
And...another one I did for a SS, this time at CTAW...using the kit You and Me.And, here is the companion page. I finished this one in really late, I just wanted it done, so it isn't very spectacular, but it is ready to get ordered!
And now - I am off to bed!

This is from the other half of the Twofer Template Set 1 from Sweet Tomato Designs. I love, love, love 2 page layouts - and I am so excited that there are some templates for those of us scrappers who enjoy doing them! You can see all of her goodies here at Polkadotplum.com!

The kit is called Spring Spunk by Victoria Feemster Designs.
Some of the photos are by the great J. Bell, photographer extraordinaire! Check him out here: jbellaustin.com

One more post tonight...

You all know how much I love 2 page layouts...well Sweet Tomato Designs has come out with Twofers!!! 2 page templates! I was so excited to see these and I couldn't wait to start playing with them!

Here is the first....I will do the 2nd layout in the next day or so for you! You should check them out at polkadotplum.com!

Welcome, Nolan

Welcome, Nolan, to the Sweet Tomato Designs family....nope, not another member for her CT, but another new kit!! She is really cranking them out right now...and I am loving her artwork!

Nolan is the "boy" kit...but if you have a girl, then you can check out Finley. And, if you have one of each, you can get the Sibling Rivalry pack.

Here are the previews...This is some of what I did with Finley. I also made 3 different brag books with this kit. Because it has pink and blue, it is perfect for brag books with both girls and little boys.

This is what I did with Nolan...I don't have any boys, other than my husband, who is kinda like a 3rd child!

What a busy weekend!

I had the best weekend with my family. My sister and her kids, along with my mom came to visit me! My sister lives in VA, so we only see each other a couple of times a year. It was so great to see her and stay up late talking, share makeup and trade clothes...I almost felt like I was in high school again. But, without the fighting and the drama!

Before they got here, I was able to get a couple of layouts done. I tried to do all the speed scraps at the CTAW site, and I had a great time!

I did all of these with the CTAW kit called You and Me.

This one was made for a Speed Scrap. I love the way it turned out!
I made this one to sit next to it in my album...I can't stand having my facing layouts not match. I guess I'm a little OCD about it ;)

Side one is a speed scrap - side 2 is the opposite page for my album.

This is another speed scrap layout, using Thank You by the designers at polkadotplum.com. I do have a side 2, but I still need to journal on it!

Another Speed Scrap - I am starting to love those! Papers are from Every Single Day by Simply Scraps and the elements are from Ainsley by Scrapper Girl Designs.

I'm Back!!!!!

Ok, so it has been a LONG time since I last posted. Not because I wanted to be gone, but because of life and circumstance. It started when I had issues with my blog. I couldn't get any of my layouts to upload. Then I had a difficult pregnancy and a great labor and delivery....now I have a newborn. Well, not so newborn now! She is 5 months old on this coming Saturday!
Anyway, enough about my crazy life...Here are a few of my more recent layouts!
