Sweet as Sugar

Grace inherited my love for sweets. Almost everyday, she asks for candy or cokes or anything with sugar in it. She has woken up in the middle of the night begging for cookies (and, no, I don't give her one). She one time woke up from sleeping on the couch when she heard me open a piece of candy with a particularly loud wrapper. I tell her all the time that she is as sweet as the sugar she eats.
I made this using Julie Marie's newest collab with Danielle Corbitt called Girls Night Out. I love this kit - there are so many pieces in this kit, go check it out!

Princess Hair

I decided to get Grace's hair professionally fixed for my brother's wedding. She had the best time going to the beauty salon and getting what she calls, "Princess Hair." She was so thrilled with the entire experience. Of course, I am not surprised...as the saying goes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
I used Julie Marie's kit called Midnight Romance - perfect kit for all the wedding pages I will be doing in the near future!! You should check it out - the papers and elements are beautiful!

Catching Up!

It seems that 2009 is a year of trying to stay caught up....who cares about getting ahead right now. I just don't want to stay behind! I can't seem to get my act together. Things have been changing in our lives. The older Grace gets, the busier she seems to be. My baby brother is getting married next weekend, so a lot of time and energy are going to helping plan showers, rehearsal dinners and wedding things. Plus, to top all of that off, I have decided to go back to work. Of a sort. I am not ready to leave Grace all the time by going back to a regular job. So, I am now watching 2 great kids every day. So far, I love it and I am thankful for the job. But, I do miss my alone time when Grace is in preschool and I was able to get a lot of digi-scrapping done!

I was able to do this 2 page layout this weekend! I used Julie Marie's new kit called Spring is Coming. I hope you go check out her blog - the other members of her CT have really made some great layouts using this kit!

Here is mine:
