Who doesn't love a challenge?

This month at Elemental Scraps there is a designer challenge that looked fun! Jessica Edwards challenged us to make a LO with a photo that we have selectively colored. Since I have never done that, I thought it would be fun to try! I used her new kit, Tea for Two, which is only available at Zig Zag Scrap for the rest of this month. It has such great colors!!

Here is the companion page for my layout, Fun and Messy. I love this kit and I already have plans for another layout using it featuring my youngest trouble-maker! Cootie Goo is the newest kit by Mandy King at SDD! Go check her out!

Check this out!

Check out this new kit called Cootie Goo by Mandy King at SDD. Even though it is a "boy" kit, I loved it and wanted to try to do something with it. The colors are great and she has a ton of wonderful elements.

This is what I did...I saw these photos of my sweetie and knew I could make this work! And, of course, I will be back soon with a companion page for it!

Still Playing with Bright Possibilites

This kit is lovely and I wanted to create a companion page for I'm a Big Girl Now...so using Bright Possibilities by Mandy King, this is what I came up with. The alpha is called Stick It To Me, also by Mandy King.
For my album, it says Meeting Mrs. T****** (Mrs. T being bigger and directly under the tag) and there is journalling in the lower right hand corner, instead of the words "my teacher". But, it gave information out about the school/teacher/etc that I don't want floating around! LOL

I have a big girl now!

I love this kit, Bright Possibilities, by Mandy King at SDD! When I saw that it had matching pieces in a bundle, I was really excited!
This is my big girl - who is now in Kindergarten...she is at the Kinder Play Date - meeting her new friends and her new teacher! She was a bit excited!

Summer Fun

I love this kit I found in Jessica Edwards' store at Elemental Scraps! I am a huge fan of bright colors' especially pinks, oranges and turquoise. Just Fishy also has some wonderful, fun elements.

We haven't been to the beach yet this summer. Our first to miss it since Grace was born (we will be going in December, though!). So, I found these photos from a trip to Florida in 2008 that I somehow missed while scrapping that summer. I tend to do that a lot :)

Credits: Papers and most elements are Just Fishy by Jessica Edwards. Also used from her are buttons and the hot pink alpha from her new kit, Tea For Two available only from ZigZag Scrap. The date strips are from {kindy chaos} by Digilicious Designs at SDD. The Sun is from I'm Hot by Jen C. Designs. The word SUN was made using Sparkling Alpha by Rozie.

A fun, new kit

This is a great new kit called Tea For Two. I love the colors in this kit and the flower elements are beautiful. I am going to have to plan a tea party for Grace and her friends! You can find her at Elemental Scraps.

Here is what I did with it...and I am going to be using this one again for sure!

Old McDonald Had a Farm, A-E-I-O-U....

Yep, you read that right...A-E-I-O-U. In our house, we sing the vowels instead of the more traditional, E-I-E-I-O. It started as a fun and easy way to teach vowels to my 2 year old. Now that she is 5, it just seems to have stuck. I thought that this kit (coupled with these farm photos) would be a fun way to showcase one of Grace's favorite songs. I used the bundle deal - the kit, the journal tags and the glitter styles to make my layout!
This kit, appropriately called E-I-E-I-O, is from Digilicious Designs at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. To get all three 1/2 off, click here!

And.....drum roll please.....my layout!

Kindy Chaos

I can't believe that my daughter is going to start kindergarten in just 2 weeks. It makes me a little sick at my stomach! And, a whole lot proud. So, when I was scrolling through Digilicious Design's store at Scrappity-Doo-Dah, the name of this kit stood out. I clicked on {kindy chaos} and knew that I had the perfect photos for it already! I take pictures of almost all of Grace's art projects. We do way too many for me to keep them all! So I used this:to make this:
I have a ton more photos of art to scrap - and I know that I will have even more coming home soon. This kit is big enough that I will have a lot of fun with it!

I must be on a roll....

After months of not scrapping (due to a crazy pregnancy!), I am seriously making up for lost time. Not too long ago, I shared some scary photos of me...after my daughter gave me a make over. I found the perfect kit to scrap these, um, adorable photos. Well, she was adorable, anyway!

This is what I found:
Being a Girl by Jessica EdwardsHere is the finished product:I love the bright colors in this kit! It is perfect for all those girlie layouts...I think I will finally scrap my photos from my bachelorette party....if I can find them and get them scanned in!

I couldn't help myself...

I just love the kit, April Fool by Digilicious Designs....so I made another layout with it! Everything except the word tiny is from April Fool, which can be found at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. "Tiny" is from the alpha, How Does Your Garden Grow? by Scrapper Girl Designs. The photo is from jbellaustin.com.

More of my sweet Hattie

This month, I am a guest member on Scrappity-Doo-Dah's creative team. I am thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful site. I get to create for Digilicious Designs! Even though it was hard to pick, I chose a kit called April Fool. I fell in love with the beautiful colors and papers. Then when I downloaded the kit, I was so excited at all the beautiful elements! This is my first layout with this great kit. Everything was made using April Fool. I am still working on getting this series of photos in my memory album. I love all these photos by J. of jbellaustin.com.

Finishing up layouts

I discovered several layouts this past week that weren't finished. In my mind, they were finished, posted and in my bin to order! Here is one that I wanted to share, the others...I still need to journal on...seems like that is what holds me up!

This layout was made using one of Sweet Tomato Designs templates...she has some great ones. I used template 7 from Seedlings Templates Set 2. I used several different kits: Del Sol by Circle of Life Scraps; Every Single Day by Simply Scraps; Love Me Forever by Sweet Blossom Designs and Spring Spunk by Victoria Feemster Designs.

Humpty Dumpty Challenge

At the end of each month, Sweet Tomato Designs very own Cara hosts a fun challenge she calls Humpty Dumpty over at PDP! For the month of July she gave away this template below and challenged us to make a layout using each piece in it!This is what I came up with:Though the challenge is officially over (and, yes, I did miss the deadline!), you can still pick up this freebie template and more at Cara's shop in PDP!

All Aboard the Blog Train!!!

I am hopping on the Jessica Edwards blog train!! Check this out:I have seen a few of the things up for grabs...you will not be disappointed! So, on August 5th, hop on the train at Jessica's Blog...and you will get some really fun recipe cards. They are 8.5x11...and when you get here, you will get a black recipe card and one that has one of my favorite recipes already on it. My mom's Red Beans and Rice...yum.

Guest CT at Scrappity Doo Dah!

I was invited to be a guest CT member at Scrappity-Doo-Dah for the month of August. I love that website/store and I couldn't be more excited or honored to be included there.

For my first kit, I chose Flourish by Polka Dot Pixels who is a guest designer there this month! I love the colors and elements in this kit. I used it to make 2 layouts featuring my sweet daughter, Hattie, who is growing so fast!
These photos are by J. Bell, of course!
