Havin' Fun with Blommin' Beautiful

One of my daughter's favorite activities is to go to the park...esp. if it is with her daddy or her favorite person, Rachel. I don't always grab my camera when we hit the park, but I am so glad I had it for these photos. No special reason, just one of the many things we do all the time. It is these moments, everyday moments, that will stick with me forever.I used a great kit called Blommin' Beautiful from Mel Hains Designs. You can pick it up for a buck right now...a full kit for a buck! Can't beat that! Ok, so you could if it were free...and that is when I got it. For great free kits, click on her name above! She gives kits away quite often!

Sweet Serene

I saw this kit from Designs by Mel and thought of these photos of my Grace. I just love the colors that she chose for the kit. I did these 2 layouts - both simple, but I hope that means the photo stands out more!

Sea World

When I saw this freebie kit from Sweet Tomato Scraps, I knew it would be perfect for Sea World photos (and also my Florida photos I haven't gotten around to yet!). Cara made this for the SYTYCD contest at Digiscrap Addicts. The Kit is called Octopus's Garden, inspired by the great Beatles. These photos are from a trip to Sea World we took last year with our cousin Rachel. We were with more people, but somehow, none of them ranked a photo!

A Couple of Quickies!

I couldn't sleep last night, so I decided to quit tossing and turning and came in here to get productive. I have been in a bit of a slump lately. Not only did we have Mother's Day (my mom got to come!), but my birthday, our anniversary and the end of the year for Grace's school have all been keeping me on my toes. My dad died 2 years ago on Friday, so in the time I haven't been busy, I haven't felt like scrapping.

This is Grace with her cousin Rachel last year. I look at these photos and I am amazed at how much Grace has grown. I used a collab kit from Julie Marie Designs and Danielle Corbitt, called Girls Night Out. I have used this kit several times, but I LOVE it. I used a template to help me get jump started, from Just 2 More Things, Number 24.
This next one is a really simple one - Pretty much a template (Simply Yin, number 100) and cardstock. The neutrals are from Julie Marie Designs, Worn Faded Neutrals. The alpha is also hers, Worn Alpha Pack #2. The red is a freebie from Doohickey Designs, Summer Confessions. The Blue paper is also a freebie, from Shazbutt's Digi Scraps, called Blue Bazaar.
Now that I am back into the swing of things, maybe I can get caught up!

Finally Finished

I am done with my part of the baby album! YAY! This is the last of what I came up with...because I was in a hurry, these are all templates!

This is a free kit called Showers in Spring, a collab by AWP Designs by Vicki and Mel's Lightbulb Moments. You can find it at Scrap That Idea, probably in the dollar bin. The template is Just 2 More Things, #34.Another freebie kit from the designers at Scrap That Idea. This one is from Stacey's Scraps, called Two Little Bots. I think it is still on her blog, but if not, you can catch it in the dollar bin at her store. The template is from Simply Yin, #100.
My last (and favorite) layout to share today is this one, made with a kit called About A Girl, from Designs by Mel. I was just invited to join her CT, which is very exciting. This is the first kit of hers that I picked up, and I LOVE it. It has a wonderful color scheme with some terrific elements and tons of papers. You can see it here: Pretty Scrappy. This is another by Just 2 More Things, #28
Now, I am off to clean my neglected house!

Scrapping Frantically

Remember that baby book I am doing for a friend of mine? Well, the deadline is drawing near, so I am frantically scrapping my fingers off! I still have several pages to get done by tomorrow night! Yikes!! I wanted to share with you guys the latest, though! This kit was a freebie, called "It's a Girl Thing" by Blue Dream Designs. I made the first side, then used a template from Sweet Tomato Scraps for the corresponding page.
After I finished that layout, I did this one using another template, this time from Simply Yin. (BTW, this is template 107 and is free!). As you guys know, I rarely (can't remember if I ever have) used a template! This was fun and what I call speed scrapping! Which is just what I needed today! I used a new freebie from Julie Marie Designs. She is participating in Digiscrap Addicts design challenge. This is week 1, A Mother's Love. Head on over there to download this delish kit, that has some really great elements for your upcoming Mother's Day photos! Now - I need to scoot! I got more to do!!!

Exciting News and a Freebie!

Cara of Sweet Tomato Designs has invited me to be on her Creative Team! I am very excited - she has some really wonderful designs available. She is at both Faith Sisters and Been There Scrapped That. She just came out with a new kit called Bouquet, that I love! The colors are just perfect for all those spring photos we have been snapping like mad! Not to mention, as the mother of a girl, I can never get enough of flowers, butterflies, and, of course, pink! I have 2 layouts made with the kit to share.

The first is a scraplift! I saw the cutest layout by my friend Jenn - and I just had to put my own spin on it. What makes me laugh is that her layout is an interpretation of a layout by Hutchie!
The second layout I made (cause if you read my blog, then you know by now I can't ever have mismatched layouts facing each other in my albums) is my own. I made this one into a QP freebie for you! Be sure to check out Sweet Tomato's stores to grab the full kit, which is packed with tons of papers, elements and a full alpha/number set. You can then use it to make another layout - cause you know you HAVE to have two!Download Here

The photos were taken by a friend of mine, Brand0n Burkhardt.

First Halloween, Now Christmas

Seriously, I should give more books away! I am getting really caught up along the way! I just make a page for my daughter, then change the title, delete personal info, turn that into a QP and I am done! This kit is called Frosty Santa, by Julie Marie Designs. I love this kit; she has a ton of fab elements that I haven't even played with yet!

Halloween in May

I made a template out of my Easter layout below and used it to make this Halloween layout for a friend of mine. I used a freebie called Halloween Fun. The preview doesn't have the designer's name on it - and neither does the TOU! The TOU is called MzP TOU - so, if anyone knows who MzP is, would you let me know? I would love to give credit!
