A couple new layouts!

This layout was made with a kit called Life is Like a Box of Chocolates by Stacey's Scraps at Scrap That Idea.
I made this layout with a freebie kit called Ainsley by Scrapper Girl Designs. This layout is a product of a Speed Scrap hosted by my good friend, Jenn, at Scrappity -Doo-Dah. This is not my normal type of layout - so, of course, I love it! I love when someone helps me get out of my box!
Not only did I leave the Speed Scrap with this cool layout, I also got this kit, Fall to Pieces, created by both Jenn Murphy Scraps and Designs by Hutchie, as a participation prize! You can buy it here for only $3.99!

One of our favorite days!

One of our favorite activities this past spring was going to the Kite Festival. We had such a great time. I can't wait for next March so we can do it again! I used a freebie kit called Doodle Bug, a collab by Designs by Vicki and Stacey's Scraps. I think it is for sale now for only a buck in their store, Scrap That Idea. Thanks, ladies! I love your kits!

Back Logged

Just catching up! I made several layouts that I never posted here...just want to get my blog updated and current.

Catching Up

I know that Halloween is next week, but I am just now working on Easter!! Unfortunately, I started out motivated, then lost the mojo at some point. The above is made with Spring Breeze by Stacey's Scraps (collab with Snowmoon's Designs).

I am not 100% happy with this one, but I am sick of looking at it...so I am calling it DONE! Credits: Kit - A Spring Thing by Kari Q Designs.

I am so excited!

Because I am finally getting caught up! I can't believe how far behind I got over the summer! I still have a ton of photos to work through, but I am so excited to see the progress.

These are more from our family hike at the Basin Wildlife Preserve....but these are shots of my husband and I! Taken by our sweet little Grace. She is actually a pretty good photographer!Credits - The kit is a freebie from Claudi Designs called Enjoy the Day. The alpha "snapshots" are from a kit called Love All Year Long by Jady Day Studio

A Simple Layout!

I have quite a few photos of a recent family hiking trip. I wanted something clean and simple, since most of the photos had busy backgrounds. I also needed the ability to get quite a few photos on the layout! This is what I came up with! I hope you like it.Credits: Majority of items came from the Fall Collection 2009 by kevinandamanda.com, which is a freebie available now. The brown/tan/cream flowers and swirl came from Mandy Mystiques Cotton Candy. The white flower and white leaf came from Winter Whites by Juno Designs.

The 3 Little Piggies

My daughter's class put on the cutest, silliest performance of the 3 Little Piggies yesterday. I got such a kick out of watching the 4 year old's oinking and saying their lines. Grace was the middle piggy who used sticks to build her home. The freebie kit is called Doodle of a Summer by Nordy Digi Design. The numbers are from Alphapalooza Pinners from Corina Nielsen Designs.

Spooks!

Spooks is a wonderful new kit from the fabulous Cara - the design master behind Sweet Tomato Designs. I love this kit - it is totally not your normal Halloween kit. In fact, I even did a wedding layout with it! So....check out what I have done here and then go to her blog and check out the other CT links for more ideas!

Custom Made Word Books

This is what I do when I am not working on my digital scrapbook! Sometimes, I just feel the need to get my hands on some scissors and feel the texture of the paper and ribbons. I do take orders for these and I am already working on Christmas orders. Just thought I would share!

My Big Girl

This is my beautiful girl on her first day of Pre-K. I used a collab kit from Julie Marie Scraps and Danielle Corbitt called Girls Night Out. I love this kit, and if you look through my blog, you will see I have used it a few other times! Which, is rare for me...I don't normally ever use the same piece of patterned paper in the same book. The date stamp is also from Julie Marie - a kit called Life Captured.

Using templates!

I don't often use templates, but when I saw how many photos of my daughter's birthday cake I wanted to use, I immediately thought of Sweet Tomato Designs product line of templates called Seedlings. I was quickly able to find one that would allow me to use all the photos I wanted...plus 2! This is a one page template that I flipped around to create page 2...cause you all know I have to have a second page! You can get this template (#22) in a bundle at her store here.
I used a kit called Summer Garden by Laurie's Scraps.

Shake it, Baby!

My daughter LOVES to dance - and she is one of those rare kids who ask me all the time to take her photo...this was one of those moments when she was doing both!
Credits: Everything is from Stacey's Scraps kit called 2 Hearts. You can find it at Scrap That Idea for only a buck! I got the idea for the arrow and the title out of Scrapbooks, Etc most recent magazine.

Turning #3 into 2

Well, I just can't stand having a layout in my album that doesn't "match" the layout facing it. After I finished making the LO titled "My Name is Grace" I went about my day. But, I couldn't quit thinking about my "unfinished" LO. A little OCD of me, I know...but I can't be the only one out there that does this! So, here are the 2 layouts side by side as they will be seen in my album: All of this is from the Darjeeling kit by Sweet Tomato Designs.

Three's a charm...

Well, I decided to try to stick with this roll I'm on! Here is a layout made using Sweet Tomato Designs kit Darjeeling. I love the colors in this kit and can't wait to play with more of it. This layout was inspired by one I saw in a magazine by Shannon Tidwell.

Can you believe it?

I did another one!! Wow, I think I may be on a roll!

These photos of my daughter were taken on our first day in Hawaii for our family vacation this past summer. I used another Sweet Tomato Designs kit...called Sun Kissed. I love the colors that were used in the design of this great kit!

I'm back!

After being MIA for the past few months, I have finally scrapped something! For those of you who don't know, I found out I was pregnant in June and had some pretty major complications. Everything is going great with the pregnancy now and I finally have some energy!

I made this using Sweet Tomato Designs kit called Autumn Bliss. I got this for free when I signed up for her newsletter. You might not get this one for signing up, but she offers exclusive freebies to those who receive the newsletter!

Credits: Every thing is from the Autumn Bliss kit except for the following: The staples are from Danielle Corbitt's portion of a collab kit called Girls Night Out. The bracket is from Melanie Hain's portion of a collab kit called Beach Hut.

I hope that I will be back more often than in the recent past!

Lil' Buckaroo and freebie!

Sweet Tomato Designs has a great new kit out called Lil' Buckaroo! I have been sitting on these rodeo photos for over a year now, so when Lil' Buckaroo was released I got very excited! This kit is full of great papers and elements...perfect for a ton of different photos! The cool thing is - you can buy the papers and the elements separately!

Here is what I did with the kit:

And, if you like it - I made it into a quickpage!! So, if you like it - you can download it here! Then go grab the kit ($4 for both the papers and elements - including alpha) to make a page to go with this one!

Be sure to check out Sweet Tomato's blog and other CT memeber's blogs - they also have ideas for this kit and I think more quickpages!
