Grandparents

Another layout made with Lucy Marino's kit called Just Breath! This is a great kit for my album about my dad (in his role as Grace's grandpa). You can find the kit at PPF!

Shimmer and Sparkle

I love this kit (called Shimmer and Sparkle) by Theresa H. Hernandez at Purple Paper Flowers. I saw a layout years ago with this title and I always loved it.

I know that the 2 sides don't line up perfectly, but I have fixed it for the print copy!

Just Breath

This kit is aptly titled Just Breath (by Lucy Marino at Purple Paper Flowers). As I was creating this LO, I had to keep telling myself that. I had a hard time with this...mainly because these are some of the last photos of my daddy. They are the last ones of him and Grace. It breaks my heart each time I want to do something about him and I can't find the photos in my recent download....which still 14 months later I instinctively go to.

Anyway, I got the idea because I daily think that I wish I could call daddy and tell him something. This little list doesn't even cover all I wish I could tell him.

Hugs and Kisses

This was made with a freebie from liella. I love this photo of Grace. That expression is on her face often. This is part of her Christmas album, but I don't think this kit was made for Christmas!

Poppy and Grace

This is Grace with her cousins and grandparents. The photo was taken November 2005. It was the first and only professional photo we had taken of all the grandkids with Grandpa (Poppy) and Nonni. The kit is a freebie from Chris Wasielewski.
This is from Grace's first labor day, which was spent with family (as it should have been!). The papers are from Foxy Designs and the brads are from Cowboy Up by Valorie Brown. The flower is from Chris Wasielewski.

The Whatley's

Here are some I did not too long ago, using Cowboy Up by Valorie Brown

The Grandmas

This was made using pieces from several different kits. The papers, smaller swirl and sparkle frame came from Mandy Mystiques. The alpha came from Jannylynn (Candy Coated Love, available at Purple Paper Flowers). The tags and cardboard swirls came from Digital Candy (also Mandy Mystiques). The notebook paper came from Sweet as Sugar by SugarplumPaperie.com.
Here are two simple ones that I have recently done.

This is Grace at 2 weeks. The paper is from Mandy Mystiques from her Digital Candy Kit.

This is me at 2 years old! I blurred my name for privacy, but in the future, I will probably use the smart erase. LOL This is a free kit called Girly Girl by Marie Stones at http://www.freedigitalscrapbooking.com.

Garden Flavors

I just love this kit by Connie Prince at Purple Paper Flowers. Since my favorite color combination includes hot pink, orange and lime, this kit is perfect for me. I have a feeling I will be using it a lot! The title font is called Fishbowl and the journaling font is Markerfinepoint.

I just bought Adobe Elements 6, so I can't wait to use the extraction feature (among others). I don't like the way Microsoft Digital Image extracted the butterfly...it looks all rough around the edges.

Let me know what you think! I love constructive criticism - and compliments, too :)

Friends

My newest (and probably most favorite) digital layout! This photo has long been a favorite of mine.

The kit is called Candy Coated Love by Jannylynn at Purple Paper Flowers!

Oh, and I fixed the darn typo for my print version.

Photoshop 6 vs Paint Shop Pro X2

Can anyone with experience with both of these programs e-mail me and let me know which they like better? Or if you have Corel Paint Shop Pro X2, do you love it?

Thanks

Candy Coated Love

This is another one for Purple Paper Flowers CT. As soon as I saw this kit, I knew I had to have it. I can't wait to create more with it.

Also, does anyone think that the word "melts" should be a smaller font and on the same line?

Thanks so much for looking. And a big thanks to designer Jannylynn at PPF!

A Couple of Recent Layouts

These are all made with freebie kits! Thanks to all of you designers :)

The first 2 are for a mini-album about Grace's day at the rodeo. Kit is called Cowboy Up designed by Valorie Brown. This is just a random page about my little toddler's weird eating habits! That is just so gross, but she laps it up! Kit is by Danielle Corbitt called Just Between U n Me. The acrylic heart is from Designs by Nikki. This one is just about how much my daughter looks like I did as a child. She argued and argued with me that the photo of me was really her. This is Watermelon Pop by Tracy Drane.

First Creative Team Layout

This is my first ever digital layout designed as part of a Creative Team! I hope the designer of the kit (Connie Prince, Garden Flavors at Purple Paper Flowers) is happy with it. I know that I can't wait to get it printed and in Grace's book.

Thanks so much for looking!

Another Old One

Looking back, there is a lot I would do differently, but here it is. I will probably create something new for this photo in the future (so stay tuned, LOL). It is special to me (most photos are). This is my daddy with my little brother, quite a few years ago. Since they are 2 of my 3 favorite guys in the world, I love it!

If you are wondering who the third guy is, he's my husband, Jeff.

Thanks for looking!

Purple Paper Flowers

I was just invited to work with the Creative Team for a great company called http://purplepaperflowers.com/. Please go check them out if you haven't already, there is a ton of talent over there! I am really looking forward to working with the CT and I want to say a big thanks to Stephanie (who invited me to join) and to Kristy (who showed my work to Stephanie! Love you both!!

I can't wait to get started with their kits - and, of course, post them here!
